BNP candidate's property empire

When she's not standing as the BNP's lead European candidate in Wales, Ennys Hughes is something of a property entrepreneur in Wrexham.

From her modest council house on Plas Madoc, she owns a chunk of prime town centre commercial property in Chester Street, Wrexham.  The properties were left to her by her father, who was head teacher at the old Grove Park Grammar School. For some time in the 1980s she ran an arts and stationery shop there called Celf Gain but now rents the properties out.

Times must be hard because she recently took time out from her election schedule to tout around businesses in Wrexham in the hope of renting out her shops.

Unfortunately for her, she's also been handing out BNP leaflets along with her property portfolio - which ensured a tirade from one of Wrexham Against Racism and Fascism's many supporters. The BNPer left with her tail between her legs.
